Software updates

Volvo is constantly developing the in-car systems and the services offered. When the software in your car is updated, you may get access to new functions as well as improvements. You can update the software in your Volvo to the latest version when your car is serviced at an authorised Volvo workshop or Volvo dealer. If you have a car with centre display where you can drag your finger across the centre display to e.g. open the app/function view, you can read about current updates available for your car here below.

The windows can now be operated without a key present when the ignition is turned on (for model year 2018 and later cars).

  • The windows can now be operated If the key is removed from the car.

Updates from May 2024

  • Updates to the Park&Pay, LocalSearch and Yelp apps as well as to the Volvo Cars in-car app.

  • The LocalSearch, Park&Pay, Weather and Yelp apps have been updated due to interface changes from the map provider.
  • There have been minor drivetrain vehicle control adjustments that do not affect performance, certification, homologation, environmental protection, or emissions.
