Activating off-road

Activating off-road raises the suspension, giving the vehicle a higher ground clearance. It also activates hill descent control, allowing your vehicle to brake in a more controlled and active way when driving downhill.

Activating the off-road feature raises your vehicle's suspension and enables hill descent control1.

Raising your vehicle's suspension gives it a higher ground clearance, which can be useful when driving off-road. It can also be useful in other situations, such as going up or down steep slopes or over high curbs.

HDC can be useful if you are driving downhill, as it allows your vehicle to brake in a more controlled and active way to help you avoid unwanted acceleration. Along with more controlled braking, HDC changes the feel of the accelerator pedal to improve control and traction on slippery surfaces.

 Note

If off-road is deactivated while driving on a steep downhill grade, the automatic braking effect will gradually decrease.

The off-road feature has limitations and is only available below certain driving speeds. Driving with the suspension raised is only available at speeds below 25 km/h (15 mph). By default, your vehicle's suspension automatically returns to its previous height when that speed limit is exceeded. However, HDC is available until you reach 40 km/h (25 mph). Driving at higher speeds fully disables the off-road feature automatically.

Press the vehicle symbol in the bottom bar and go to Settings.
Go to DrivingDriving dynamicsOff-road.
Turn off-road on or off.

 Note

Off-road and One Pedal Drive

When off-road is active, One Pedal Drive is disabled and cannot be adjusted in settings.

Intended use

The off-road feature is not designed to be used on public roads.
