The XC90 plug-in hybrid has one powertrain option: the T8 AWD.

A 18.8 kWh lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor on the SUV’s rear wheels. A high-performance petrol engine with e-boost and turbo technology drives the front wheels. And its equipped with an all-wheel drive system that’s available regardless of battery charge.

Choose from five drive modes that adapt the car for efficiency, power or tougher roads: Hybrid, Power, Pure, Off-road and Constant All-wheel Drive (AWD).

One pedal drive
The T8 AWD powertrain features one pedal drive to improve efficiency and make driving smoother. Speed up and slow down using just the accelerator.
