Tyre care and coverage

Taking care of your tyres and maintaining proper tyre pressure helps maximise fuel and energy efficiency, extends tyre life, and improves your safety on the road.

Tyre pressure and maintenance

Maintaining the correct tyre pressure is important for all cars. Your tyre pressure and the condition of your tyres directly affects your safety on the road. Keeping your tyres in good condition with the correct pressure also improves fuel and energy efficiency, extends tyre lifespan, enhances ride comfort and handling, and reduces road noise.

Recommended tyre pressures

Depending on your car model, you can find the recommended pressure levels on the driver's side door frame or inside the fuel filler flap. You can also find your recommended tyre pressures along with additional information in your car's user manual.

 Note

For the most accurate pressure readings check your tyres when they are cold, ideally when car hasn't been driven for at least 3 hours. Driving will increase tyre temperature and pressure.

Low tyre pressure warning

If you receive a low tyre pressure warning:

  1. Check tyre pressures either manually or by opening the Car status view in your car's centre display.
  2. Refill and re-calibrate your tyre values if necessary; read your car's user manual for additional guidance.
  3. For persistent warnings, contact your Volvo retailer for assistance.

You can find your nearest Volvo retailer using the online tool at www.volvocars.com/uk/dealers/
