You can get Free Driveaway Insurance for 7 days with your new car, as long as you meet the eligibility and underwriting criteria.

Getting started with Free Driveaway Insurance

Before collecting your new car, you'll receive an email with a link to activate your Free Driveaway Insurance cover. You'll need to answer a few questions about yourself, your driving history, and your new car.

Eligibility requirements

To qualify for Free Driveaway Insurance, you need to be between 19 and 85 years old and hold a full UK or EU driving licence. Also, your driving record for the past 5 years should show:

  • No more than 3 at-fault claims.
  • No more than 3 minor driving convictions.

If you're not eligible for Free Driveaway Insurance, you may still be eligible to apply for Volvo Car Insurance.

What's included

Comprehensive cover for up to 7 days covering loss of or damage to your car resulting from accidental damage, fire or theft, including repairs by authorised Volvo workshops using Volvo Genuine parts. 

After your 7-day cover ends

You'll need to arrange ongoing insurance coverage, either with Volvo Car Insurance or another provider. With Volvo Car Insurance, you can make changes, renew, or cancel your policy without any added charges. You can also arrange your own insurance coverage for your Volvo-financed car.
