Folding down the rear seats
You can fold the rear seats to get more stowing space. The left seat can be folded on its own, while the center and right seats fold together.
Important
Before folding the seats, make sure:
- there are no objects on the seats.
- the seat belts are not buckled.
- the center armrest is folded up.
- there is enough space to fold the seats down. If needed, move the front seats forward.
If any of the rear seats are folded down, they must not be in contact with the front seats. This can impede the safety of other occupants.Warning
Open the trunk and locate the backrest release buttons on the right side.
- Press either the backrest release button
to fold the left seat or the backrest release button 
to fold the center and the right-hand seat.The backrest releases and tilts forward.
Manually push the backrests to their upright position when you no longer need the extra cargo space. Make sure they lock into place.
After adjusting, folding or raising a seat, make sure all parts of the seat are properly locked in place.Important
You can also manually fold down the rear seats using the backrest release handle on the rear seat backrest. Make sure to guide the backrest until it reaches its folded position.Tip
